Tri-Campus Annual Fire Alarm Testing
Annual tri-campus fire alarm inspections, as required by the State Fire Marshal’s Office, begin the first week in September 2009 and are expected to be completed by August 2010. To view the monthly schedule by campus and buildings click here.
HSS Construction Is Complete
The HSS third and fourth floor plaza were closed beginning September 24, 2008 for demolition and reinstallation of pavers, handrails, glass storefront, skylight system and refurbishment of the exterior surfaces. Below are detailed maps of the work areas. All construction was contained within the red outlined areas.

JPL Renovations Are Complete
The John Peace Library underwent three phases of renovations from September 2008 to May 2009. Upon completion the library was equipped with new lighting, furnishings, computer work stations, and study areas. To learn more about the construction visit the John Peace Library Renovations site.
Phase III of the UC Construction Series is Complete
The first UC, constructed in 1986, is now joined by the most recent phase, the UC III. This latest UC expansion was passed by student votes in 2003 in order to accommodate the needs of UTSA’s growing student body.
Adjacent to the Multidisciplinary Building and UC, the UC III provides an assortment of new facilities including a student organization complex with new office spaces, meeting rooms and graphics room, ballrooms, both quiet & noisy student lounges, game rooms, Subway, and coffee shops.
Sam Barshop Blvd. is Now Open
Construction on Sam Barshop Blvd. began on February 25, 2008 and was completed on June 20, 2008. This new connector road links the West Campus to UTSA Boulevard and offers easy access to over 800 new parking spaces along the roadway. Additionally, three new shuttle stops have been added to bus students from these parking spaces to main campus. To view the location of the connector road click here. Tri Campus Water Restrictions
Lack of rain in the San Antonio area can cause UTSA to be faced with water restrictions imposed by San Antonio Water Systems. Click here to view UTSA Tri-Campus Water Restriction & Conservation Plan.
